DERAILED EXECUTIVES

Derailed executives frequently have experienced a serious decline in their previously successful performance, or did not live up to their potential. Their inability to adapt, or decline in actual or expected performance, is usually because these individuals do not adequately assess themselves or have self-awareness. As many as one third of senior-level executives experience severe performance problems and "jump the track" at some time in their career.

Terminating a derailed executive can be organizationally and financially expensive, incurring loss of intellectual or social capital, as well as disrupt and demoralize others. In most cases, a better decision is to develop or strengthen the executive's capabilities to perform at a higher level.

Our experts coach the competencies needed by derailed executives to maximize their workplace functioning.
